Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly narrowed down their list of candidates to replace Cavin Johnson at the end of the season.
Kaizer Chiefs have a five-man shortlist of potential head coach candidates when the time comes for interim manager Cavin Johnson to step down from his role, according to reports.
Amakhos will continue with Johnson for the remainder of the campaign until a replacement is announced for the start of the new season.
Kaizer Chiefs' five candidates
According to a report by Soccer LadumaThere are only two South African coaches on Kaizer Chiefs' wanted list.
Pitso Mosimane and Manqoba Mankiti are the two local candidates lining up to take over as Chiefs coach.
Local options have both been at Mamelodi Sundowns in recent years and Mungkitty is still there. Mosimane has long been touted as Chiefs' ideal candidate as he looks to repeat the success he enjoyed at Sundowns at Amakhossi.
The other three coaching candidates in the race for Kaizer Chiefs' top job are believed to be from Europe (two) and South America (one).
“Currently, the club has shortlisted five coaches, including Pitso Mosimane and Manqoba Mngqiti. “There are two coaches from Europe and one from South America, but Bnal's decision has not been made. I'd like to get it down to at least two or three people before deciding.
