On the remote work map, leading international companies are keen to hire South Africans because they have the following USPs that are difficult to find anywhere else: High level of education, extensive work experience, excellent work ethic, and understanding of diversity. Finally, South Africa's time zone is also advantageous for international companies doing outsourcing.

Additionally, international companies want to hire South Africans for less obvious reasons that may not be mentioned on a resume. This is no coincidence; South Africans are inherently incredibly hardworking. We will do whatever it takes to get the job done, and that is a great asset to the company.

1. Adapts to any work environment
Whether working for a local outsourcing company or in a faraway country overseas, South Africans have the ability to adapt. 2. Zero sense of entitlement

3. Honest and thick-skinned
Hibo, we have been lied to by politicians for years. So we don't push lies, we tell it like it is. Even if it means saying things people don't want to hear. Similarly, when you hire a South African, you also get someone who appreciates constructive criticism.

We come from Africa, the continent where it all began, and as such we have a genuine interest in other people. I know there are corporate structures, but at the end of the day, we are all human. Colleagues, customers, management and South Africans all get along well. If you want strong networks and strategic partnerships, hire South Africans.

5. I am filled with gratitude.
Opportunities are very few in Mzansi, so when I take a break, I feel grateful and work hard. It's called Ubuntu, and it allows us to do whatever it takes to get the job done, and sometimes do other people's work when needed. One of the words South Africans never hear is: “That's none of my business.” We will do what it takes to secure our future.
