Hershel Gibbs celebrated his 50th birthday in style over the weekend. The retired cricketer and his nearest and dearest partied at Cape Town's famous dinner and dance spot.
Herschel, who has played with icons such as Jonty Rhodes and the late Hansie Cronje, retired from performing in 2010.
He has now started coaching and presenting cricket.

Herschel Gibbs celebrated his 50th, Not Out birthday celebration at Cape Town's Pigalle Restaurant in a photo posted on his Instagram.
Herschel was joined by his parents, brother and fiancée, Dana Nemeth.
He posted, “What a wonderful night to celebrate 50 with family and friends.''
The colorful cricketer kept the dress code funky by wearing a bow tie and Nike 'panda' dunks. His fiancée Dana wore a skintight pink dress that hugged her hourglass figure.
His sister Lucy joked in her post: “He's 50 years old but says he feels like 35.”

Herschel Gibbs was known as a record-breaking batsman, but what many people don't know is that he was also a talented rugby player.
He was drafted into the first-team rugby team as a student and played in the 1992 Craven Week final between Western Province and Free State at Loftus in Pretoria.
Gibbs played alongside players who would become the Springboks, including Robbie Fleck, Selborne Boom, Dave von Heslin and Percy Montgomery.
talk to SA Cricket Magazine, Gibbs revealed that rugby was actually his first choice of sport. He said: “If it were up to me, I would have chosen rugby. The best team sport, I must admit.”
according to IOL, Herschel could have also turned professional in soccer after playing for Reigersdal FC in his youth and later getting the chance to have a trial with Premier League club Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Hershel Gibbs and his fiancée are planning a wedding celebration after getting engaged last year.
A year ago, Hershel and Dana went public with their romance. “I'm a lucky guy, that's for sure,” Herschel said of Hungarian model Bey.
