Karlian: “Freaking World, My Friend”
Singer Karlian van Jaarsveld shared a photo of herself and her friends, Doricas du Plessis and Springbok player Franco Mostert wearing Springbok jerseys.
“You're a hell of a world champion, my friend!!!” It's been a while since my stomach felt like this! I was very quiet!! Today we will all celebrate! Now they know what we know,” she wrote.
The South African fighter dethroned Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 297 on Saturday, January 21st at Scotiabank Arena.
According to a report from Africa ESPN, Du Plessis said it felt incredible to win and said it felt like 15 years of work.
“When they said, 'And new,' it felt like 15 years of work, dreams, and sacrifice had come together in one sentence. It was incredible, it felt surreal. wonderful,”
