Nando's is back with another spicy roast. This includes Cape Verde, Bafana Bafana's Afcon opponents, as well as South Africa's bid for Cape Independence.
The popular fast food chain posted a cheeky tweet ahead of the Afcon quarter-finals on Saturday, February 3. The match will be broadcast on SABC Sport and SABC 1 channels from 10pm.

Taking to its X account, Nando's tweeted: “Honourable members of Bafana, please make this quarter Xtra Hot.”
They also tweeted the message: “We do not recognize this cape.”

The reference to “Cape” is likely in reference to SA's opposition, Cape Verde, although many supporters believe it is a political campaigner seeking to separate the Western Cape from the rest of South Africa. It was taken as an attack on

Gigi Kodwa wishes Bafana well
Meanwhile, Sports Minister Gigi Kodwa also congratulated the SA team.
“I know the players are ready…the whole country is not asleep,” Kodwa said in a video clip, in a phone call that is believed to be coaching Hugo Boss.
He captioned the video: “The team is ready to give its best and make the country proud once again. The whole country is behind you, Bafana!”
