Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is celebrating 25 years of being “sober and clean” on her sobriety journey.

Jamie Lee Curtis celebrates 25 years of sobriety
In a post on Instagram, the Oscar-winning actress shared a black and white photo of herself holding up a silver ring with her initials on it. Her sobriety ring also spells out the words “Twenty Five.”
“25 years clean and sober. One day at a time. 9,125 of them,” Jamie Lee Curtis captioned the post.
She continued: “As my old friend Adam sang, inside me there is stillness, serenity, a sense of purpose, and the greatest feeling that I am not alone. Many others have the same illness and solutions. What we share.”
“For anyone struggling with addiction or shame, there are people here who care. My hand in yours. Our hand in yours” Jamie Lee emphasized.

Over the years, the actress has been very vocal and open about her struggle with substance abuse. In 2019, Jamie Lee Curtis said: variety magazine about her history of opioid abuse.
In an interview, she said that she first became addicted to opioids after undergoing regular plastic surgery to remove puffiness in her eyes.
“They gave me Vicodin as a painkiller, even though it wasn't particularly painful,” the actress said at the time.
She also opened up about how she kept her addiction a secret for a while and was able to get a job despite it, including author Tom Chiarella's Esquire article about her painkiller addiction, “Vicodin, My Vicodin.” .
