Kyocera SA has welcomed Jimmy de Waal as its new sales and marketing director.

De Waal's career began in a video shop and then a role in industrial roller door sales in Johannesburg. But it was in the copying and printing industry that he found his calling.
Starting in sales at Applied Imaging, he was quickly promoted to director of sales and marketing and played a key role in the company's focus on large format printing. Mr de Waal then moved to Canon South Africa as Office Product Manager (PM). He was soon appointed Production Print Business Development Manager (BDM) and he was appointed PM. After convincing the company to set up his own dedicated B2B marketing team, he was appointed head of marketing, a role that worked closely with European exports and direct and indirect channels.
“My goal at Kyocera is to create a unified team where each member can contribute to the company's goals while having fun and building a culture of trust,” he says. “I believe in the importance of a balanced work environment where achieving business goals goes hand in hand with personal growth and team building.”
