South African rapper Cassper Nyovest congratulated Ivory Coast on winning the African Cup of Nations (Afcon), saying it had restored world peace. Ivory Coast defeated Nigeria in the Afcon final on February 11, much to the delight of many South Africans.
This all came after Nigeria claimed ownership of Amapiano by defeating Bafana Bafana in the semi-finals.

Fans continued to clash on social media, but Nigerian fans seemed to have bragging rights after the win. All this calmed down many South Africans, who are now happily celebrating with the Ivorians.

They also celebrated that goalkeeper Ronwen Williams was the goalkeeper of the competition. Among the South Africans celebrating was MJ Maponya, who mocked Nigerians.

Casper Nyovest praises Ivory Coast for restoring world peace
Casper said on his Instagram that he was even awarded an additional medal of honor by Ivory Coast. “Ivory Coast has restored world peace!!!” They deserve the CAF championship gold medal and an additional medal of honor!!!” he said.

He went on to talk about how much the Nigerian football team was not giving them any breathing room. “@__blessedsinner, hahaha, you guys never left us alone. You even made a song about us being happy! Feel Am!!” he said.

As Cassper Nyovest praised Ivory Coast for defeating Nigeria and restoring world peace, many South Africans joined him in laughing at Nigeria.
