The International Court of Justice (ICJ) said on Friday that there was no need for additional emergency measures to protect Palestinian rights following Israel's attack on Rafah.
The court said that the “dangerous situation” in the Gaza Strip and Rafah, in particular, “requires the immediate and effective implementation of interim measures” in accordance with its January 26 order, and that “the indication of further interim measures is I haven't asked for it.”
The decision comes after South Africa asked the World Court earlier this month to consider whether Israel's plans to extend its attacks in the Gaza Strip to the city of Rafah require additional emergency measures to protect Palestinian rights. This was done after requesting.
