Wandile Duva returns to Kaizer Chiefs
The 19-year-old Duba was in the spotlight after making a name for himself in the DStv Disc Challenge before being handed his first senior appearance in 2022 by former coach Arthur Zwane.

With a new coach in place and six weeks of pre-season just over, Duba was seen arriving with Chiefs' team, KwaZulu-Natal, to face Royal AM today.

Bruce Buvma sends message to boss
Former academy star Bruce Buvuma has signed a new contract extension to remain at Chiefs.
Bvuma was linked with a red card around October last year.
But Brandon Pietersen's miserable form and Itumeleng Khune's indiscipline gave Buvuma a golden opportunity.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper converted the chance with both hands. Buvuma, who hails from Leratong in Gauteng, helped the side keep a clean sheet in three consecutive games before Afcon 2023 got in the way.
Fast forward to 2024 and Bvuma has signed a new contract.
“Bruce Buvuma’s rise through the ranks since joining the club’s youth academy in 2014 has been nothing short of remarkable.”” Amakos reported.
“Showing exceptional skill and determination in every match he played, Buvuma quickly rose to the first team. His agility, lightning reflexes and unwavering dedication to the game have cemented his place as one of the most promising young players in South African football.
“The contract extension, which sees Buvuma remain at Kaizer Chiefs until June 2026 with an option to extend for a further year, underlines the club's confidence in the goalkeeper's abilities.”” the club added.
The Chiefs number one immediately reacted to the good news.
“First of all, I would like to thank the Almighty for blessing me and I would also like to thank the club. The chairman and the entire management team for believing in me and giving Kaizer Chiefs another chance. ” said the keeper.
“I've been here for 10 years, including the development period, and I'm just grateful that they still trust me. I want to repay their trust in me by performing on the field during the contract period. ” Buvuma added.
Meanwhile, Buvuma is expected to start Sunday's game between the Chiefs and Royal AM. Kick-off will take place at Harry Gwala Stadium at 17:30.
