“Widows Unveiled” is Showmax Original’s newest 10-part reality series.
It stars Mpho Tshabalala and Lerato Sengadi, wives of the late musician Mandoza and HHP, respectively. the unveiled widow along with three other widows.
the unveiled widow “Showmax Original” is a new 10-part reality series that follows the lives of five women married to public figures and prominent businessmen.
Mpho and Lerato seem to have developed a beautiful friendship on the show.
“Whether she likes it or not, I call her 'hip-hop auntie,'” Mpho said of his friendship with Lerato.
She added: “Jabba died after Mduduzi.” [Mandoza]. When all this was happening to Lerato, when I saw someone from afar, I always wanted to hug her and tell her it's okay…time will tell. ”
Mpho describes Lerato as a cheerful person who loves life and happiness.
“But she also has a vulnerable side and has openly shared parts of her grieving process with her social media audience,” Mpho added.

“Widows are treated like a plague”
Mpho says she decided to take part in the show to fight prejudice against widows and highlight the challenges faced by widows, especially black widows.
“I made this decision because I realized that widowhood is treated like an epidemic. No one wants to talk about it, but this is a daily reality for millions of people. This is the reality.
“Black widows in general have it a little harder. It's not the first time. It's a generational thing. It's unfortunate that black families make it harder for them to come together, especially for women. Because , because they feel like they can attack you when you're at your most broken.”
She said she felt the show would give people a chance to see different sides of her.
“There I can show that I am more than just a widow and a mother. I am also an aunt, sister, and daughter. I also want to encourage and give hope to the next widow.” I would like to add that my story is simple.
“Picking up the pieces may be difficult, but always keep the faith. That has helped me continue and carry on the legacy my husband left behind.”
