Elsa Majimbo talks about her broken relationship with Naomi Campbell.
In the eight-minute video, the Kenyan star pushed her into becoming an alcoholic.
The two went from being close friends to enemies, but the TikTok sensation laid it all out in a now-deleted video.
The two met in December 2020 when the model was visiting Nairobi for shopping. Madzimba told how they met after exchanging text messages and how Campbell invited her to go on holiday with him.
Elsa said the model suggested they make a documentary film about Majimbo's life in Kenya.
Majimbo said someone then told her how Campbell claimed she was behind his success.
Majimbo spoke after her documentary was screened at the Tribeca Film Festival in March 2022. The documentary was about her life, bullying, colorism, and her love for comedy.
The Kenyan influencer said that after the screening, Campbell called her and threatened to sue her over the rights to the film, thinking it was a movie they had talked about while on vacation in Nairobi.
Majimbo said he missed a scheduled phone call with the model, but called the model the next day. During that phone call, Campbell told her that this was her last time speaking to him and that she should “live her good life.”
Things then went awry during that call, she recalled, and she then started drinking heavily.
“I started drinking a lot because I didn't understand why things were going so badly and I couldn't pinpoint the cause,” the comedian said.
After deleting the controversial video on social media, Elsa Majimbo said she did it in the name of peace.
“I stand by my words. The content of my decisions. Tweets are deleted to call for peace, not fear. I want you to understand that this has been happening since I was 19 years old. My goal now is happiness,” she wrote.
