The show is set to return for season 11 on SABC 3.
TV and radio personality Zanele Potelwa has been officially announced as the host of the new show Tropica Treasure IslandSeason 11.
Tropica Treasure Island is a popular South African reality competition TV show in which local celebrities and ordinary contestants take on a variety of challenges on a luxurious paradise island for a grand prize of R1 million.

“It's like a dream come true and I feel so nostalgic. I was beside myself. I can say that because I grew up drinking Tropica. It's all what my dad used to buy. I especially liked the pineapple and orange flavors.
“I have loved Tropica Treasure Island I remember even wanting to be a competitor when I was a kid. Then when I got into the entertainment industry, I knew I wanted to be one of the hosts one day, and now I get to say that I am, and it means the world to me,” she says excitedly. Ta.

“It will be memorable” – Zanele
Zanele promises an explosive season. She said viewers can expect lots of fun and energy.
“I'm just going to be the best game master I can be in terms of making sure the game goes the way it's supposed to go. Just cracking the whip and making sure everything is in tip-top shape so we can have a great season.” I think it's going to be an explosive season. It's just a matter of remembering it 100%.”
Zanele added that she is also immersing herself in the show's history to understand the dynamics of hosting the show.
“The most important thing to me is having a good time. Tropica Treasure Island family. So I'm talking about the peeps that will come to the island and our peeps who are watching from home.
“I’m so excited and so happy. I just want to thank God and my boss for believing in me. I’m also grateful to Tropica because I’m going to be sitting in the seat that I’m sitting in right now. It's really an honor.”
