Does your phone support quick share?
Android had a sharing feature called Android Beam that allowed you to send photos, files, etc. by bumping the backs of two phones together (provided both devices had near-field communication sensors). It never became as famous as AirDrop (launched the same year). Google intended to deprecate it in 2019 and replace it with Nearby Share. In January 2024, Nearby Share became Quick Share, in line with the name of the same feature on Samsung smartphones. Quick Share only works on phones that support Android 6.0 or later, an operating system version released in 2015.
