The South African Weather Service says it will be sunny and warm, partly cloudy and hot with scattered showers.
Severe thunderstorms and a heat wave are possible in at least four states, and that's the weather Saturday.
Shock-based warning
A level 2 yellow warning has been issued due to severe thunderstorms in the southern Free State and northern interior of the Eastern Cape.
Gusty winds, heavy hail and heavy rain are expected to occur, causing damage to infrastructure, formal and informal settlements, and localized flooding of low-lying land and roads.
Fire hazard warning
Very high fire danger is expected over the Northern Cape, western North West, central and western Free State provinces, and the Dr Beyers Naude municipality in the Eastern Cape.
