Women around the world are invited to join together in praying for world peace.
The Ballito Women's World Day of Prayer service will be held this year at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 1, at All Souls Anglican Church in Salt Rock.
Every year, this worldwide event is conceived and planned by different denominations in different countries.
By a strange coincidence, this year it is the Palestinian Christian woman's turn, but preparations were underway long before the fighting erupted after the October 7 Israeli attack.
The theme for the Day of Prayer, “Please…bear with one another in love,” is based on Ephesians 4:2, 3. Make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. ”
This service promises rich imagery, reflecting the fruits, spices and herbs of the Holy Land, where the olive tree grows, a symbol of deep roots, longevity, peace and healing.
All Souls welcomes Christian women and men of all denominations to this celebration of worship and looks forward to joining in prayer and action and praying for peace during this difficult time.
