Barossa distilleries are internationally known for producing gins that draw from the region's rich wine tradition.
Barossa Distilling Co. won the World's Best Flavored Gin award at the 2024 World Gin Awards on 22 February for Barossa Shiraz Gin.

“Winning such an honor in such a prestigious competition is a matter of great pride and recognition of the hard work and dedication of the entire team,” he said.
“Having access to the best Shiraz grapes in the world and refining this gin over seven vintages has allowed us to achieve exactly that goal and we are very grateful for the recognition from the World Gin Awards expert panel. doing.”
Barossa Distilling Company says the gin reflects the wine tradition formed in the Barossa Valley.
Founded in 2016, Barossa Distillery produces vodka, brandy, liqueurs and whisky, but originally started out as a craft gin distillery.
The production of this Shiraz gin requires over 10 weeks of hand work in a small-scale setting to achieve its silky smooth texture with an inky depth.
The annual World Gin Awards ceremony recognizes the finest gins from around the world and involves a blind tasting process led by a large panel of expert judges.
