South African powerhouse rock le roux loe has officially signed a two-year contract with Sale Sharks in England, moving from the Durban-based Sharks.
It means the 28-year-old has already impressed coach Alex Anderson with his size and attitude, and means another player will be moved overseas.
Le Roux Roë could be a big hit in the UK
“From the conversations we've had and what I've seen so far, Le Roux fits our mold perfectly,” Sanderson said. “We talked about what motivates him and what drives him, and he said he just wants to work hard and make everyone around him look better. It's not about Hollywood moments with him and I like that attitude.
“South Africans have a lot in common, culturally and mentally, with the Northern mentality of being hard-working, serious and straightforward. It's a great match and I think he'll be a player who will fit in well here as well. I don't doubt it.
“He loves to hit hard and will add a little more weight and power to our pack. We're really excited to get him here and see what he can do.” I am.”
“Excited to take action.”
Mr. Le Roux-Roet explained the reasons behind this decision.
“My wife and I are really excited to be coming to Manchester. It's time for my career to move on to the next chapter and experience something different and Sale is the perfect club for me.
“I take pride in my defensive work and set-pieces, but I also enjoy the attacking side of the game. Being a big part of a tight five team and getting as much forward progress as possible for the team. We want to get the ball.
“A few years ago I was approached to sell and I was very attracted to the offer, but at the time I was not eligible for a work permit. Unfortunately, I had my ACL done shortly afterwards. So when my agent called me and told me that Sale was back, I was very happy knowing that such a big club clearly saw something in me.
“The Premiership is a really prestigious competition and I think the pace and physicality of the game suits me. I can't wait to try it out and see what I can contribute.
