The DA on Friday filed court papers to charge ANC general secretary Fikile Mbalula with contempt of court for failing to comply with a Constitutional Court ruling that the ANC hand over all cadre deployment records from 1 January 2013. We plan to submit it.
During a debate in Parliament's mini-plenary session on Friday, DA MP Leon Schreiber, who submitted the PAIA application for the records of the ANC's national development committee, said: “I would like to confirm today that the DA is submitting new records. I can confirm this with this parliament.” ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula charged with contempt of court for failing to comply with a Constitutional Court order to hand over complete national executive deployment records from 1 January 2013, when President Ramaphosa became executive chairman. I have submitted the documents. ”
“The ANC would do well to remember that its former president and current worst nightmare, Jacob Zuma, was sent to prison for similar contempt of the Constitutional Court. But then again, Ramaphosa The president has already shown us that he is willing to liberate tens of thousands of people “just to protect criminals and fellow executives from the rule of law.'' ”
