Kaizer Chiefs coach Cabin Johnson has defended midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo over his weight issue.
The 24-year-old came off the bench in Sunday's goalless draw against Morooka Swallows but failed to make an impression.
Fans believe that Ngcobo has gained weight, but Johnson denied that the player has gained weight.
“No! I don't think it's Mushini. [as Ngcobo is nicknamed] I'm too fat. I think he'll be fine…he might look overweight, but I can tell you, we have people looking at all these things and we don't have any players who are actually overweight,'' Johnson said. Ta. sowetan.
The 65-year-old coach said the club has several fitness centers in the country and slammed those who questioned the young attacker's weight.

“We have one of the best fitness centers in the country and we have one of the best fitness measurements in the country. Mushini is normal because if you do all these things, everything will be perfect. Somebody Who are we as outsiders to debate whether someone is fat or thin? I don't know,” Johnson said.
Ngcobo has failed to impress this season and is yet to score after playing 10 games.
