The men's title went to France's Dorian Koninx, while Britain's Alex Yee finished fifth overall despite starting at the top of the final standings.
The season opener in Abu Dhabi on March 8th and 9th was canceled due to bad weather.
The season has four more events and concludes with the Grand Final in Malaga in October.
This year, the French Olympics will be the main focus for athletes, with the individual events taking place on July 30th and 31st, and the mixed relay on August 5th.
