Women of faith joined hands to raise their voices at the 94th Women's World Day of Prayer (WWDP) held at the Salvation Army Benoni on March 1st.
Under the theme “Be patient with your loved ones,” testimonies from Christian Palestinian women were read out, with a universal message of patience, courage and love.
The SA was first hosted in America in 1887 and officially observed interdenominational mass prayer meetings in 1956.
Major Margaret Stafford from Salvation Army headquarters, who led the program, said coming together in prayer can give strength to people facing hardship.
“The power of prayer cannot be ignored. Where we gather before God, miracles occur,” she said.
