- The Cape Town International Jazz Festival is set to return with a bang this year with a lineup featuring some of the best local and international jazz artists.

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) is set to return with a bang this year with a lineup featuring some of the best local and international jazz acts.
The festival was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic, and the festival has been postponed multiple times.
The event is usually held in March, but this year it will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC) on May 3rd and 4th.
According to a CTIJF press release, the festival will feature four “reimagined stages.”
“Formerly known as Kippies, Moses Molelekwa and Rosies, these stages now bear the glorious names of Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald respectively, and a new outdoor stage, Topaz, to accommodate experienced maestros and up-and-coming maestros. “Both rising stars set the stage for a glittering showcase from around the world. Globe,” the press release states.
CTIJF will also bring back artist masterclasses that will be held on both days of the festival. This year's festival will also use Howrah's cashless system.
“We have worked hard in recent months to put together a program that pays homage to the tradition of jazz's roots, but also speaks to the exciting future of music that embraces all jazz-related genres as an ode to a new tomorrow. Lindsay Rhoda, head of talent at CTIJF, said in a press release.

General admission tickets to the festival cost R950 per night and give you access to the Sapphire and Topaz stages.

The festival will charge an additional R30 per show for the Emerald (Rosies) and Ruby (Moses Molelekwa) stages.
Festival goers must purchase a general festival ticket and then purchase a show ticket for an additional fee.
