Canada will face Sweden for the world title in Sunday's final of the LGT World Men's Championship.
In Saturday's semifinals, Canada defeated Scotland 9-4 and Sweden defeated Italy 5-3.
Scotland had defeated the United States 8-4 in a qualifying match Saturday morning to advance to the semifinals against Canada.

In the first end, Canadian skip Brad Gushue hit for a two-point lead. Then, in the second, Scottish skip Bruce Muat brought in the final stone through a gap in the front guard, hitting the Canadian stone and scoring two points at 2-2.
Then, in the sixth end with the game level at 3-3, Muat narrowly missed on a final draw attempt and made three game-changing steals to give Canada a 6-3 lead.
With Canada leading 6-4 in the eighth end, Gushue scored three points on a draw to take a 9-4 lead. At this point Scotland lost, with the final score being 9-4 to Canada.
After the game, Canada's Gushue said, “We conceded two points in the second end and there were some unexpected mistakes by Bruce, but those three steals turned the game around and we were in complete control of the game.''
Italy vs Sweden
Sweden earned a direct route to the semi-finals by winning the round-robin, while Italy reached this match by defeating Germany 8-3 in a qualifying game.
With the score still 0-0 in the third end, Sweden's skip Niklas Edin hit Italy's stone to give them a two-point lead.
Then, in the fourth end, Italian skip Joel Retornaz responded with a nose hit and scored a point, giving Sweden a 2-1 victory.
In the seventh end, with the score still at 2-1 for Sweden, Edin scored three points for the tie, increasing his team's lead to 5-1.
In the eighth end, Italy's Retornaz tried to raise but couldn't find a way to score two points and was forced to settle for just one point, cutting Sweden's lead to 5-2.
Sweden then won 5-3 to advance to the final.
“It was almost perfect there. We got off to a good start and played a really solid match,” Sweden's Edin said after the win.
Looking ahead to the final against Canada, he said, “It's definitely going to be a tough battle tomorrow. We have to play really well again. We have great motivation right now and are firing on all cylinders.'' You have to keep it lit.”
Canada and Sweden will play for the world title and gold medal on Sunday at 3 p.m. Scotland and Italy will return to the ice at 10am (CEST) for the bronze medal.
