Whoever said rapper Cassper Nyovest and childhood friend Prane Mojaki would get married on April 6th was right.
Photos and videos of the ceremony topped the trending lists on social media, leading many to speculate that this was all a publicity stunt. However, some said it was a music video shoot and not a real wedding.
But on Tuesday, the rapper posted a photo on his Instagram timeline and shared it with his wife.
“Jesus, you are my support. Everything depends on you, always has been, and always will be. Thank you for choosing me, using me, and giving me strength. Hebrews Chapter 6, verse 19 declares: “We have hope, which is the sustenance of our souls,'' sure and steadfast… “All my hope is in you,'' he captioned the post. .
A source close to the couple told News24 that the wedding was an intimate family affair with no music videos and no celebrities, which was the family's intention.
It was a weekend in Mahikeng, where the married couple grew up.
Sources said the couple had originally only planned to negotiate lobola, but everything else took place that day, including exchanging vows at church.
Rumors about the wedding began to spread in March when a “leaked” wedding invitation was circulated on social media.
Nyovest broke his silence on Saturday, March 16, denying rumors of his marriage.
”Monna, you're just like me. I also found out about it online. They chose the date and venue for me and invited me to their own wedding. Please let me know if you find anything. at least, Ban Tolhopetse Chippi! So, kehappycaso!!!,” Casper wrote to X.
The rapper was previously reported to be in a relationship with Thobeka Madjozi, the mother of his three-year-old son Kotso.
However, in a sit-down interview with Mpoumi Ledwaba, Nyovest revealed that he parted ways with Madjozi two years ago. He also confessed to cheating on Tobeka.
“I caused a serious mess. I hurt my baby's mother so much. We broke up and I was single for two years. I just continued to live this life.
“I didn't have any female friends to stay connected with as friends. I had a really bad personality and didn't even realize how wrong it was. I felt like my soul was drained. Every time you sleep with a woman, do they leave a piece of your soul behind?
