Mthandeni Manqele remembers being asked to get off stage during a performance.
Recently, the Maskandi singer was asked to leave the stage during his performance at the 'mother of all Maskandi festivals' in Durban because he was late for the show.
A video of the event went viral as Zimdalar took the microphone from him and instructed him to “Woetsek.”
Ms Mthandeni claimed she was 30 minutes late, and Zimdallah claimed the musicians were due to perform by 7pm but arrived by 9pm, forcing them to jump on stage.
Explaining the circumstances, Mthandeni said: “My mistake was being about 20-30 minutes late. Things like that happen, so I always get in touch when something like that happens. Sorry for being late. That was a mistake.”
Zim Dollar apologized to Uhoji FM and its fans. Mr Mtandeni also apologized on her behalf.
“First of all, on behalf of my sister, let me apologize to those who took part in the event, and to the Zulu people and South Africa as a whole. When Jimifi said 'woetsek' to me, to some I was a weak modern Zulu.” You might have thought it was a person. I apologize on her behalf for what happened. I've been in this industry for a while and I think her actions were driven by some kind of pressure she was under and was forced to do so. ”
“People who try to tarnish my image do things that make me angry enough to be aggressive. Then they say bad things about me. I'm soft-spoken, I love women, Many people know that I take good care of my mother.”
“I believe in my sister. [Zimdollar] I apologize on her behalf because I was under pressure. I want to accept the shame I caused her and make up for her shame. We come from the same place. I want people who have seen me humbled after what happened to know that when a person is called by God to do something, there is chaos that can lead to success. ”
