Another bank-related reason could be that you opted for a cash transfer and are now waiting for the bank transfer to arrive. Log in to the SASSA web portal to check your bank account details. And don't forget that the bank account must be in your name.
2. Technical issues
The agency receives twice as many SASSA SRD grant applications as it actually approves. In other words, 36 million Applications that need to be run. As a result, technical glitches are common and not surprising. If your SASSA grant has not been paid, there is likely an issue with your IT. Therefore, please report it as soon as possible to check if the system is actually down.
3. Failed means test
If the first two do not apply to you, the next most common reason is that you have failed the SASSA means or assets test. Considering this test, the government doesn't think you deserve a monthly subsidy because you already have enough income.
4. Contact details
Although it is rare, if your personal or contact details are incorrect, this could be the reason why your SASSA grant is not paid out. If there are any changes in your personal life, please double check and keep your agent updated.
5. Validation issues
Although it may be frustrating, in some cases SASSA may require you to verify your details via a registered phone number. If your SASSA grant has not been disbursed, please double check that SASSA has not sent you any notifications that you need to see or have missed them for any reason.
