Wrexham secured promotion to League One with a brutal display that put Forest Green Rovers in danger of relegation.
Doubles from Elliott Lee and Paul Mullin, and an own goal from Ryan Inniss put the hosts firmly in control in the first half.
Goals from Ryan Barnett and Jack Marriott after the break rounded out the win.
This stylish victory, along with defeats to MK Dons and Barrow, saw Phil Parkinson's side return to English football's third tier for the first time since 2004.
This is the second consecutive year they have been promoted following last season's National League championship.
Supporters rushed to Stoke Racecourse at the final whistle to celebrate a monumental new chapter for the club, owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Parkinson, who has won five of their last eight games, said before the match that Wrexham's “destiny” was in their own hands.
After securing a place in the play-offs with a 4-1 win over Crawley Town on Tuesday, Wrexham knew they would secure automatic promotion from League Two if they picked up five points from their remaining three games. .
But they went into Saturday's game knowing they would win against Forest Green, drop points to rivals MK Dons and Barrow will see the Dragons promoted by the end of the afternoon.
Forest Green arrived at Stoke Racecourse having lost four of their last five games, leaving them bottom of the table with a three-point difference.
Wrexham, unchanged from their midweek win, started brightly and with purpose, controlling the first 15 minutes, but the home side only had half the chances.
However, they didn't have long to deny the hosts' attack, and although Mullin had his shot blocked after Tom O'Connor's corner kick was not cleared, the ball eventually fell to Lee at the far post, who fired from close range. I took a shot.
Mullin fired a shot wide of the post, but Wrexham's top scorer quickly extended the lead to two points.
Lee sent James McLean wide and the Ireland international's cross was met by an unmarked Mullin at the far post for his 24th goal of the season.
The Dragons' dominance continued as Eoghan O'Connell's shot from the edge of the area evaded an unfortunate Innis and crossed the goal line for their third goal.
Marín, who was named Ligue 2's Player of the Month for March, ended an impressive first half as O'Connor's corner kick was not cleared but his shot deflected off to off-foot keeper Vincent Reyes.
Forest Green barely penetrated Wrexham's half in the opening 45 minutes, but they may have been lucky not to have fallen further behind at the interval.
The home side's dominance continued after the break, with MacLean's impressive pin-point cross from the byline setting in Barnett's fierce volley.
Lee's curling shot just grazed the post and at the other end substitute Dominic Thompson's shot went unscathed over the crossbar to end Forest Green's afternoon.
Furthermore, McLean's cross was found in the area and substitute Marriott scored for the sixth goal.
Wrexham did what they had to do and their supporters began to celebrate their first promotion in two years following news of heavy defeats by MK Dons and Barrow at the racecourse.
