D.C. Police are encouraging motorists to plan alternate routes if necessary and allow extra travel time for potential delays caused by road closures.
“Vehicles parked in violation of the emergency no parking signs will be ticketed and towed,” police said in a news release.
Road closures and parking regulations are as follows.
Emergency parking prohibited
From 5pm on Sunday, April 14th to 5pm on Saturday, April 20th, the following streets will be closed to emergency parking.
- H Street, from Pennsylvania Avenue to 20th Street NW.
- 19th Street Pennsylvania Avenue to G Street, N.W.
- 18th Street Pennsylvania Avenue to G Street, N.W.
- Pennsylvania Avenue from 19th Street to 1924 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (south curb only)
- G Street, 18th Street to 20th Street, NW (north curb only)
road closure
The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5:00 pm on Sunday, April 14, 2024 until 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
- H Street, 19th to 20th Avenues, NW
The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 10pm on Wednesday, April 17th to 8pm on Friday, April 19th.
- H Street, from Pennsylvania Avenue to 20th Street NW.
- 19th Street Pennsylvania Avenue to G Street, N.W.
