Meanwhile, Moja Love says it will take necessary action if found guilty.

Mr Mapanga and the show's bodyguard appeared in the Soshanguve Magistrates Court on Tuesday and were granted bail of R5,000 each.
In a statement sent to citizen, Moja LOVE Mapanga said he was pleading not guilty on the grounds of mistaken identity.
“MojaLOVE would like to go on record as admitting that the host was mistaken and insisting that he did not assault anyone during filming.”
The channel further said that necessary action would be taken if Mapanga is found guilty.
“Moja Love has heard and respects the Zolani side of the story, but we also intend to recognize an alternative course of justice. If we find out that any such incident has taken place, we will take necessary action,'' the channel said.

Mapanga surrendered to the police.
Mapanga and his bodyguard surrendered to police to cooperate with law enforcement, the channel said.
Meanwhile, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Rumuka Mahanjana said Mapanga and his bodyguard surrendered after an arrest warrant was issued.
“As a result of police investigation, arrest warrants were issued for the two and they surrendered to the police on April 9, 2024,” Mahanjana said.
