Motaung Jr talks about Vilakazi's contract
Chiefs athletic director Kaiser Motaung Jr. expressed his excitement about this development:
“We are very excited to sign this contract extension. Mfundo is an exceptional talent and we look forward to seeing him showcase his God-given technical ability in the first team for many years to come.” It's all about hard work from now on for this young man and we know he will do his best.
“Mfundo’s promotion is testament to the great work of our development structure. We have created an environment that facilitates the production of first-team talent, which is fundamental to Kaizer Chiefs’ philosophy. From the under-13s to the reserve team, we have a hard-working group of people who are not just focused on winning, but primarily on producing top football players for the first team.”
Seiora Mfundo “Obrigado” to Villa Kazi
Obrigado is a word you'll often hear in Portugal and at your local Vida E Coffee shop, but it's also the nickname of the glamor boys' superstar eggs. Mfundo “Obrigade” Vilakazi is Naturena’s next player to watch.
Vilakazi has been a top performer in the development team and has long been touted for promotion to the first team. He was particularly popular for his flashy dribbling skills and left foot, which impressed the first team's technical staff. The 18-year-old featured in six games for the team during the break, coming off the bench twice, including in the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates. Vilakazi wears number 29.
