ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa praised the activism of the late struggle leader Dr Motsoko Peko.
Feco died Friday at the age of 93.
While campaigning in KwaZulu-Natal, Mr Ramaphosa said Mr Pheko used the power of his pen to fight the apartheid regime.
“We are deeply saddened by his death. He played a very important role in the development of our country. He was one of its leaders, even though he worked in a different organization. The many books he wrote are a true testament to his ability and stature because he gave himself and expressed and wrote about our struggles. , we sink the flag in his honor.”
Peko was a writer, lawyer, historian, and scholar.
Meanwhile, family spokesperson Zandi Radebe thanked South Africans for the love and support the family has received.
Meanwhile, PAC expressed its condolences to the bereaved family.
Party Secretary-General Apa Phu said he hoped Pheko's life would inspire South Africans to strive for the return of land African people to the continent.
