This week brings good news for SASSA SRD beneficiaries. How to claim SRD

- Access the SRD portal here.
- Enter your mobile phone number and click Send SMS.

- Please provide your South African ID number or special permit number.
- Enter your personal information (name, surname, address, gender) to access the system.
- Enter your bank account details – bank name, branch, account type, number)
- Alternatively, you can select “Send Cash” as your payment option.
- The Home Office will check your details in their database and you will receive confirmation on your mobile phone that your SASSA SRD grant is valid.
Please check the status
SASSA SRD beneficiaries must check their status monthly.
- Visit the official SASSA Status Check portal.
- Enter your South African ID in the ID number section.
- Enter the mobile phone number you used to submit your subsidy application.
- Click “Check Now” to submit.
- Check monthly to see if your grant has been approved.
- Subsidy collection dates for next month May will be updated soon.
