England and Saracens forward Billy Vunipola was Tasered and arrested in connection with an alleged violent incident in Mallorca, Spanish media reported on Monday.
English Premiership side Saracens said they were aware of the incident involving one of their players and would address the matter internally.
Vunipola, 31, was Tasered twice by police after he arrived at a bar in the island's capital Palma, Mallorca-based Ultima Hora newspaper reported.
At one point, he allegedly took off his shirt and confronted a passerby, the report said, adding that it took eight officers to subdue and handcuff him.
He was then taken to the hospital and required to be sedated.
The newspaper posted a video on its website showing Vunipola and other men being led in handcuffs from a police van to court.
Saracens released a statement on social media saying: “Saracens are aware of an incident involving Billy Vunipola in Mallorca.
“Of course, we will deal with this incident internally and will not be commenting further until then.”
Vunipola is due to leave Saracens at the end of this season and was previously linked with a move to France, but nothing has been confirmed.
He has won 75 caps for England and made his Test debut against Argentina in 2013, but is not currently part of the England squad.
Vunipola came on as a second-half substitute in Saracens' 15-12 win over Bath on Friday.
The club is not scheduled to play again until May 11th.
Saracens sit second in the English Premiership and are aiming for their sixth league title in the past 10 seasons, with two regular season games remaining before the play-offs.
