The disciplinary hearing against former African National Congress (ANC) president Jacob Zuma is scheduled to be heard virtually on Tuesday 7 May 2024.
This was made clear in a notice of amendment by the ANC National Disciplinary Committee (NDC), which cited security concerns as the reason for the changes.
Yesterday, a circular letter attributed to the party's Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula recommended to the NDC that public hearings should be suspended until after the 2024 national and local elections.
The letter cites security concerns and appears to have been informed by a number of members of the Umkhonto Wisizwe party who are scheduled to storm ANC headquarters in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
The former ANC president is facing two charges for violating the ANC constitution.
He can be represented at hearings by any ANC member in good standing.

Meanwhile, former president Thabo Mbeki said the ANC had taken the right approach in convening his successor.
