Charlie is an intellectual studying for a PhD on gifted children. She works hard and values her job, but she is also warm and has many layers to her personality. Her presence changes the way people see Summertide, making Summertide a more interesting and peaceful place.
She becomes Lucy's (Evangelina Hallock) educational psychologist and soon develops an important relationship with Martin (Frank Lautenbach).
When it came to bringing Charlie to life, Tanya said she drew on her own life experiences to give the character depth.
“I really love playing Charlie. I can draw a lot from my own life experiences for this character.
“My fellow actors are beyond talented and so much fun to be around. The crew and cast feel like family. I believe many people will relate to her story,” she said. added.
