Prince Kaybee denied claims by Bottlehale Fola that he stole the song.
The Idols SA finalist revealed in a video that the musician had his song stolen years after he emailed it to him.
The DJ insulted the singer on Facebook and further talked about it in a video that went viral on social media.
Addressing the issue, Cavy apologized for the insult and explained why he had uttered such words.
“I didn't mean to insult anyone, but I got excited by the untrue allegations. I still stand by my previous position, I don't know him and I don't listen to his songs. “I have never received or copied it, and I have a personal email address that I will not use,” he wrote.
The music producer also took time to explain the differences between his songs and the singer's songs.
“As for the song, we can all hear that they are two different songs in different keys, and they don't even share a similar chord progression, so to say I stole the song is We’re really getting there.”
“Yes, he might claim that he thought of me when he made this song, so maybe he's emphasizing my approach and energy when making the song, but it's… That's still a long way off. The song in question was produced from the same template I used when I made Charlotte, so it has the same chord progression, and the other songs are in the same or different keys. Sorry for the way it goes, but we say a lot when we're angry, and that's exactly how I felt.”
