YFM, meanwhile, has distanced itself from the accusations.
Amapiano star Tumelo Manyoni, better known as Jazzy Q, has announced his intention to take legal action following accusations of sexual harassment.
The accusation was allegedly made by Ngcebo Mcobothi, producer of YFM's drive-time show.
Ms Makoboshi, who spoke about the incident on X without giving her name, claimed that “the man” tried to forcibly kiss her in the elevator.
“I'm so frustrated! It's not like I was the one who was sexually harassed by one of your favorite people after I rejected his advances.
“This guy literally grabbed me around the waist and tried to kiss me. Mangekani [forcefully]”I had to push him away and we were in the elevator,” she wrote.
Jazzi Q, through his legal team, has denied the allegations. His lawyers said that upon seeing X's allegations, his legal team contacted YFM's station director, Haseena Qasim, and requested CCTV footage of the incident as evidence to refute the allegations.
“The basis for this request was for Mr. Jazic to provide a detailed response and present irrefutable evidence that these damaging allegations are not true or based on fact,” the statement read.
YFM responded that there were no cameras in the elevators, and JazziQ and his team allegedly released their own video filmed on the premises.
The video shows Mcobothi entering the building and elevator with JazziQ and his team. The footage also shows several other people getting into the elevator.
The lawyers stressed: “There are three points to note. Firstly, Mr. Jazsik was never alone with Ms. Makoboti in the elevator – there were always at least five other people present. Secondly, Ms. Makoboti always got into the elevator before Mr. Jazsik, meaning that the two were never in close proximity to each other.”
“The fact that he was last to board meant he was closest to the elevator doors, meaning there were at least five people between them. The elevator ultimately only went up one floor, and that distance was only for a few seconds at most.”

JazziQ takes legal action
Jazeek expressed dismay at the allegations and stressed her strong stance against gender-based violence, and called on her supporters not to harass Makoboti.
“Mr. Jazic has decided not to pursue legal remedies for this situation as he is aware that the law is often used as a tool to silence true victims, but he has no choice but to pursue legal avenues to clear his reputation so that this cloud of suspicion can be removed from himself, his loved ones and those affected by this painful ordeal. He remains committed to transparency and justice and will continue to support measures that protect and defend women's rights.”
YFM distances itself from allegations
YFM issued a statement distancing itself from Makoboti's claims, pointing out that he is a freelancer and his opinions do not represent the station.
The department referred Mr Makoboti to further investigation and reserved its rights in the matter.
“We wish to place on record that Ms Makoboti is an external producer and freelancer for Company Y. Her actions do not reflect the views or actions of the company, nor does Company Y have any control over the content Ms Makoboti posts on social media,” it wrote.
