Lady Doe is making some big moves in the entrepreneurial arena as she reveals her vision for this year's beauty business.
The South African vocalist will officially enter the beauty industry in 2023 and continue to grow by opening a salon.
A few weeks ago, she revealed that she was launching a second franchise, and shared an update about it on Instagram this weekend.
Mrs Du said the company aims to employ 100 people by the end of this year.
“My goal this year is to have 100 employees. Currently we have 32!!! I am opening a second franchise in Vosloorus. I built the salon from scratch and own the property so my employees are making a lot of money,” she wrote.
Madame Du is passionate about giving opportunities to others, and there are important characteristics she looks out for before hiring staff.
“I hire my staff based on their personality and skills. We live in a country where people who have the potential to be great at something are not given the opportunity because they simply are not “qualified”. Not everyone comes from the same background. I have trained 8 employees and if I posted their before and after pictures you would be amazed. I have learned that to have loyal people in your business it is important to take care of them financially, mentally and emotionally!!!!”
The star also spoke about how he takes good care of his employees.
“I pay for my staff's travel expenses, buy them gifts on their birthdays, hold mental health meetings, donate to funerals if someone dies, and we take care of each other. We have created a healthy work environment and I wish every company was like that!!!! Take care of your staff and they'll never have to work a day in their life!!!! They will do anything you ask of them because they feel safe.”
