Former Miss South Africa and Miss World 2014, Lorraine Strauss, has joyfully announced the birth of her third child.
The beauty queen shared the happy news on Instagram, revealing that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Sunday afternoon.
Strauss revealed that her son was born at 40 weeks and four days of pregnancy, weighing 4.14kg.
“We are both healthy, happy and recovering. I give it all to God! Thank you to the amazing nurses and doctors and my prayer warriors who never stopped praying,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.
She also expressed gratitude to her mother for her unwavering support during the birth, adding that her two sons are thrilled about the birth of their little brother.
“My mom never left my side! My boys drew a heart on my forearm before we left for the hospital which helped me get through the birth! They dote on their baby brother,” she added.

Lorraine's preparation and health
Lorraine and her husband Daniel Strauss announced they were pregnant for the third time in November last year.
Last month, she spoke about preparing for this pregnancy, emphasizing that she focused on three key areas: physical, mental and reproductive health.
She stressed the importance of nourishing the body with a nutritious diet and continuing to exercise regularly.

She added: “Stress management and good quality sleep have supported my hormone balance and overall health, enhancing my fertility and reproductive health.”
“Above all, knowing your HIV status is essential to protect yourself and your baby. HIV testing allows for early intervention and prevention strategies, where needed, during pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding.”
