J. Morrie announced that he was embarking on a spiritual journey after dedicating his life to Jesus Christ.
The South African rapper, whose suicide attempt left fans and supporters in fear, revealed his next move on his Instagram account on Wednesday.
“I write today with a heart filled with gratitude and humility to share with you a very personal revelation that has changed my life. In the past, I have battled demons within myself that I was not even aware of. Recently, I have been blessed to experience a profound awakening in faith and spirituality. By God's grace. I have been saved and have begun to dedicate my life to serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” he wrote.
The letter, written by Molly, suggests that she plans to take a break from music to focus on her relationship with God.
“I am embarking on a spiritual journey to gain clarity and understanding of my purpose in God's plan. I truly believe that by dedicating this time to prayer, reflection and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, I will be able to discern the path God has chosen for me.”
“I want to emphasize that this decision has not been made lightly, and it is not just for my own benefit. Rather, I see myself as a vessel of the divine will of Jesus Christ. My desire is to surrender completely to His guidance and follow wherever He leads me. Whether it be music, the priesthood, service in various ways, or any other form of His work, I am ready and willing to follow His call. What that may be is yet to be determined, but as of today I surrender. Whatever His will, it shall be done.”
J.Moly also expressed his gratitude to his fans and supporters for encouraging him so much.
The rapper revealed that he may be taking a break from social media and also encouraged others to dedicate their lives to God.
“A decision I make today will determine whether I will continue to be active on social media after this post. If there are no posts in the near future, know that I am in safe hands and receiving the salvation and help that can only come from my Savior Jesus Christ and his trustworthy professional servants. It is time to stop ignoring the signs, put aside my pride and be humble to receive His message as I know it is a great calling.”
