The ANC says President Cyril Ramaphosa will announce a new executive body within days after extensive consultations. The party made the statement after winning the 10th member of its proposed Government of National Unity.

Al-Jamaa was the latest party to join the unity government over the weekend, bringing the total number of signatories to 10, with more to come.
The ANC, in secrecy, appears unwilling to give up either the economy or security posts and also wants to retain the presidency, with the consensus being that Paul Mashatile should stay on.
The Democratic Alliance is said to be planning to nominate its leader, John Steenhausen, as a minister to the president, but under the constitution it is the president's prerogative to decide who serves in the executive branch.
DA federal council president Helen Zille says the ANC must recognise that the DA is a key partner in a government of national unity.
Gill says the DA will play a key role in the new structure.
