Award-winning musician Jabulani Hadebe, better known as Shava, has collaborated with Omega Footwear to launch a unique range of shoes.
talk CitizenShava shared the story behind this exciting venture, saying he has always had a deep respect for OMEGA.
“I reached out to the Omega team and proposed a collaboration. They were happy to help, and that's how it all started,” he said.
Omega's lead designer, Mlindlwa Ndlovu, said Shava's love for the brand was what ultimately led to the partnership.
“In a world full of influencers and paid partnerships, isn't it more authentic to work with people who truly appreciate and enjoy your product? When we realised Sjava was passionate about our footwear, it felt like a very natural fit,” said Ndlovu.

“A variety of styles and inspirations”
Talking about his shoe designs, Amapico The hitmakers emphasized their uniqueness and cultural significance.
“Each design has its own unique inspiration. The White Shoes design features an amavinca towel, which has a very important meaning in our culture.”
“Some designs are for hip-hop fans, others are more formal. It's a mix of different styles and inspirations.”
Shaba added that comfort and quality are paramount in this new range.
“Above all, the comfort and quality are what make these shoes so appealing. I like the white ones more because they have more character, especially now that summer is approaching.”
Omega Footwear managing director Adrian Murray said the brand was more than just shoes, it also embodied South African style and resilience.
