Simphiwe Ngema recently opened up about how she is grieving the death of her husband Dumi Masilela, despite being romantically involved with her baby's father, Tino Chinyani.
The South African singer and businesswoman spoke about this while comforting Babes Wodumo, who is mourning the death of her husband Mampintsha.
Following the comment, a fan asked Sims how she was coping, to which she replied that she was doing the same thing as Wodumo.
“I do the same things she does – cry, text him, watch videos. It doesn't go away, you just learn to live with it. Every day is different. Some days I cry like it was yesterday, and special days (birthdays, anniversaries) are hard. Even after seven years it's still hard.”
Simphiwe further revealed that it is not easy to be sad when in a relationship with Tino but she tries not to confuse grief with love.
“Honestly, it's not easy. I try to separate my grief from my love, to respect him. He said I could talk to him, but I won't. It wouldn't be fair to him. I want to tell my family. I have to respect my new life and do my best.”
“Whether I like it or not, the losses I have experienced are in the past and it is my future I am trying to build. Although it is a hard truth to accept, I pray and continue to move forward. Life goes on with or without you. I choose to live and not let the sadness and pain consume me. The pain will always be there. Don't let the pain stop you from living,” she added.
