Specialist private investigator Mike Bolfs returns to TV tonight with his latest series, Bolfs Beslis.

The new series, which premieres tonight (July 9) on kykNET, revolves around everyday disagreements between people, with Mike stepping in to resolve the conflict with a touch of Bolhus before things get too bad.

Mr Bollhuis, who has achieved Chuck Norris-like status in South Africa by jogging in a Speedo and carrying a gun, explained that he faces such “brawls” every day.
“You wouldn't believe how many people contact me every day to resolve small disputes.”

Serious crime is business as usual for Mike Borfus and the SSS.

“I want to be clear that the primary focus of the SSS has been and will continue to be the investigation of serious violent crimes, economic crimes and cybercrimes.”
“But the SSS takes on all cases, from simple and minor to complex, ranging from disputes between neighbours to serious criminal cases.”
Middelburg murders
One of the cases the Bollhuis team is currently investigating is the shocking murder of Johan Cowan, a 49-year-old businessman from Middelburg.

Asked what he would say to new Police Minister Senzo Mchunu over coffee if he had the chance, Mr Borhuis replied: “I would say to him, ‘I would say to him,’”
“The minister should not interfere with the powers of the police, the hawks and the special forces, but should address crime issues, corruption and preventing law enforcement.”
“Our authorities should not be influenced by political considerations that would prohibit them from investigating anyone, from private citizens to the president,” he added.
The outspoken private investigator also said it is problematic to assign unqualified individuals to a particular job and expect them to deliver a positive outcome.
“You can't hire a hairdresser to do brain surgery,” he said.
