AKA's mother, Lynn Forbes, also shared a moving message when she visited his grave a few days ago.
The late AKA's father, Tony Forbes, recently posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, remembering his son, more than a year after his death.
Keenan Jarryd Forbes, known to fans as AKA, was shot dead in Durban along with his friend Thebelo Tibus Motsoane in February last year.
Tony posted an emotional tribute on Instagram, expressing how much he misses his son, adding that he has “so many questions”.
“Don't worry, you and I will sing together like we talked about, I promise. It's Friday again and I want to see you more than ever. It hurts so much.”
“I wonder what you're doing and who you're with. Did you remember to wish Mommy and Daddy a happy birthday? What do you want to say to me? I have so many questions… Ask me.”

AKA's mother visits the grave
A few days ago, AKA's mother, Lynn Forbes, also shared a moving message after visiting her son's grave.
In her post, she spoke about her own healing journey and said visiting her son's grave brings her comfort and peace.
“Visiting the grave has been made easier. It's so comforting, soothing and gives me peace all at the same time,” she wrote, also sharing that she's been updating AKA on her family, specifically regarding her daughter, Cairo.
Lin also said spending quiet moments with her son helps her maintain a strong bond with him.
“Sometimes I find comfort just sitting quietly with you in my thoughts and prayers. I miss you so much but my heart is at peace.
“Visiting your grave has been an experience that has brought me joy and comfort and has kept my memory of you alive and strong.”
