Casper Niyovest shared a personal experience with his followers over the weekend.
The South African rapper has been vocal about his faith since dedicating his life to God, which he credits for helping him recover from depression and other issues he struggled with.
On his Instagram account, Nyovest shared a video of himself in a swimming pool, presumably meditating, with an inspirational caption:
Casper said she has been crying more since beginning this new spiritual journey.
“Since being touched by the Holy Spirit, I have cried frequently and felt very deeply. I had lived for 33 years what I considered a 'happy person' because I had never been depressed or overly sad. Looking back, it seems as if I had a filter on, was cold. It seemed as if the only thing I could do was pass by things and kind of avoid them,” he wrote.
“I was never confronted with intrusive thoughts or worries, always looking for something lighter to talk about or think about. Now I can sit and feel things I've never felt before and be present, every day, in my pain, my sorrow, my fears, my worries, my shortcomings, my mistakes, my insecurities, my weaknesses.”
Mufasa shared a Bible verse and also thanked God.
“It's not easy, but knowing the name of Jesus and the work He finished on the cross is such a comfort. There is so much power in the name of Jesus. Lord, when I think of how You have saved me, I often cry and just marvel at Your love,” he wrote.
