As South Africans are still reeling from a video of a teenage boy assaulting his grandmother, another shocking video has emerged.
A video posted to Instagram by TV personality Siv Ngesi shows a man engaged in a violent fight with an older woman, believed to be his mother, in his kitchen.
The video shows the woman, who tries to defend herself, being punched, slapped and forcefully shoved out the door, falling onto her back.
“Trigger warning! Some kids will do anything to get just one kiss or hug from their mom, while others will be abusive!
“Make this guy famous and send him to jail! He needs the community to speak out! The person who filmed the video should be punished as well!” Shiv captioned the video.
The video sparked outrage, with many celebrities and ordinary people condemning violence against the elderly.

Teenage boy who assaulted grandmother released with warning
In another recent incident, a 19-year-old man arrested for assaulting his grandmother was released with a warning.
After a video of the incident was circulated on social media, Luvo Ngcukaza was arrested on July 3 and charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
according to Intraocular lensesNational Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson Eric Ntabazalira confirmed Ngaza's release and his trial was adjourned until September 27.
His grandmother has been granted a protection order and Ngcukaza's conditions of release include attending court dates, residing at an address in Brokombos and attending school regularly.
“We will continue to support my grandmother and we have told people to stay away from her house and make sure Luvo stays away from her house,” Dambuza told the paper.
