Intaba Yase Dubai has apologised to Big Zulu years after accusing him of exploitation.
In 2022, Intaba Yase Dubai (real name Lindokule Msomi), from Maphumulo, KwaZulu-Natal, was announced by Big Zulu’s label Inkabi Records for her hit song “ Imari Eningi.
“Imari Eningi has over 12 million views but no money. Not even R1. It really hurts to work so hard and then have no money and see your hard work go to someone else's benefit. Only one person is okay but everyone has to act like they're okay. FUCK FEATURES!” he wrote on social media.
Intaba wrote a lengthy letter to the music star apologizing and clarifying the accusations.
“I would like to apologize to anyone I had a conflict with. It was never my intention to fight or use vulgar language. I am not proud of what I did and my past experiences have taught me that no one can survive alone. Everyone needs someone to grow. I am sorry to anyone I hurt,” he said.
“I have no issues with him, he has never stolen a cent from me or taken any money from me. The only person who has taken money from me is someone who took money from him and did not give it to me,” he said of his former Ambitious boss, Kgosi Mahumapelo.
“Big Zulu came from a good place and I have vented my frustrations on him. I regret signing a recording contract. He should have stayed home and released music instead of signing a recording contract. Stop going around badmouthing Big Zulu. Bygones should be bygones,” he said.
