Miss South Africa is a highly anticipated event that not only showcases the beauty and talent of the contestants but also highlights their social initiatives and advocacy work.
Among this year's standout finalists is Chidinma Vanessa Adesina, who has become the most well-known contestant with mixed race roots.
Most of Mzansi's social media users are against her taking part in the pageant because of her Nigerian and South African ancestry.
Despite the growing hate and cancellations, several celebrities have come out in support of Chidinma.
Some South African celebrities took action publicly while others simply followed her Instagram account, which has over 9,000 followers.
